Some things I made for girls camp

Well I made a few things to take up to girls camp, but sadly it was canceled due to the swine flu. I still wanted to show what I've done, and get your feedback.  So one by one,
We Believe Blocks,
I painted the blocks of wood, then modge podged the paper on the blocks.  Next I added the vinyl which was cut on my cricut, (the "believe" word was from the Tinkerbell cart).  I glued a clothes pin to the back and added ribbon.  This is my favorite of all the camp projects by far, probably because I caved and used the SU Bella Rose paper that I have been hoarding.   This was to be one of the craft projects the girls made while they were at camp.
BIA Book
This is simple book I made, also one of the projects the girls would make while at camp.  It was to be used as a photo/memory book/ journal.  I cut the flower from good 'ol Geroge cart, and used the left over Bella Rose paper from the blocks.  Of course used lots of ribbon on the binding.
Virtue Bookmark
At camp the girls were going to have mailboxes to pass note and get surprises.  This year the value virtue was added to the Young Woman theme, so I made a bookmark to go alone with that, (and because I wanted to have a little surprise to put in their buckets).  I cut the tag from Plantin schoolbook cart using the end cap feature.  I added the definition of virtue on the back of it, then laminated it with my Your story machine.  (I LOVE having a laminator in my home).  To add a little bit of interest, in the center of the flower I tied a knot in the ribbon.  The flower dangles outside of the book, and looks so cute.
Gum thingy
So one day I was driving home from running a few errands, and I was thinking about camp, and I had an idea come to me.   Our wards was assigned the value Integrity, so I made these cute gum wrappers.  The are wrapped in a purple polka dot, with the message on the front.  I made these to go in the mailboxes as well.
SO there you have it.  Proof that I have been craft even if I have been MIA for a while.  :)

A Ladybug Lori Original.........

I am so excited to share this project to you. It is a little magnet board that I threw together and will be teaching for my next class at the Clinton Robert's store. I used a pizza pan for the base of this project and cut an 11 inch circle from the paper (Bo Bunny). The flowers were cut from Accent essentials cart, and in the center I used......... a bottle cap. I know pretty brilliant. :) In the center of the bottle caps I put a glitter button. I used coordinating ribbon to make the ribbon flowers and of course..... bottle caps in the center. I used the Stamped cartride for the word "Remember". A simple tule bow and there you have it, an original, unique magnet board. I will be teaching on Saturday June 27th, from 6-8 pm. I would love to hear what you all think it. I for one and pretty proud of this one.
Lori

Just wanted to share a few more pictures from the swarm. This is our group photo and very cute one of Lynn, that came all the way from Las Vegas for this swarm.

Swarm projecs

We had such a good time at the swarm on the 16th. What a fun group of ladies. I love that this is part of my "job". Since we had a beach theme for the swarm I wanted to do beach projects for the make-n-take projects. First we did a couple of beach magnets on giant glass pebbles. One was a crab the other a pair of flip-flops. They turned out so cute. The next project I had for my fun ladies was a flip-flop album. Mine is pretty plain, because I wanted the ladies to use their creativity to enhance it, and they all looked fab-u-lus!!! We also did a challenge where they decorated a clear paint can, anyway they wanted. We had 7 brave ladies that did the challenge and 7 very different bucket. They all did a wonderful job, but a darling hello kitty bucket won. (I'm sorry I didn't get a picture). Toward the end of the evening, we had Wendy, one of the media members, come in and she brought another make-n-take project for the ladies to work on. It was a great night. I love doing the swarms, and look forward to the next one, probably in Oct. I guess need to start thinking of ideas now.

Mickey Mother's Day

Ta-duh!! I can post again. I have a bunch of stuff to show you, but I am going to try to spread it out over a few days. This first post is a picture of a jar I made for my mother-in-law that LOVES Mickey and Disney more than I do. It was super easy, and I think she liked it. I hope you like it too.

Miss me???

Ugh!! My computer has been so sick and I haven't been able to do anything. We finally had to wipe the hard drive, in order to get it running again, but doing so, I lost 1500 pictures, all my music about 600 songs, all my fonts, and all my bookmarks, just to name a few. But now it is up and running and I will be posting some now stuff soon to my blog. I hope I didn't lose any of you, my followers, since i have been AWOL for a while.
Love, Lori

I've lost my creative mojo.

I threw together my cards today for the neighborhood cards swap.  I was afraid that I wouldn't get them done in time.  Anyway it is a simple card, and finished them.  When I went to look at the email about the card swap, i learned...................IT'S NOT UNTIL NEXT WEEK.  Oh well, I got them done.  I think I have lost some of my creative mojo, but hope they will do.
