Back 2 school,.......Of course I used my Gypsy to weld this piece together. The font is Plantin' Schoolbook, and the 2 is from Speaking of school. The apple is from Doodlecharms. This is one of my favorites so far. What do you think?

Here is a preview of the projects for the upcoming swarm I am hosting, on January 30, 2010.  We will be doing a 12 x 12 layout for each month, that can be used as a calendar topper, or just a scrapbook page.  You may notice they are basic designs, I did that so each swarmer can add bling and ink to jazz up the layouts, and make them their own.  Let me know what you think.

Aluminum Basket ala Cricut

Here is my entry for the "Cropping with the Stars" contest. I designed on my gypsy then cut aluminum roofing flashing in my cricut to make this cute Valentines basket. Ok, it didn't cut all the way through, but when I started to cut with the scissors, it just popped out nicely. It left a nice engraved image on the sides and the handle. Can you see where I painted the engraving? Of course I used ribbon, and I even cut the small flower out of fabric. I LOVE the way it turned out. I was going for a fresh, unique take on cricuting. What do you think? Did I do it? I REALLY would love to hear your comments.

Gypsy 24 hours Challenge..... I TOTALLY accept!!!!

So I did it!!!!  I did the gypsy 24 hour challenge.  We got the instructions at midnight (Saturday) and had to finish, photograph, include instructions, and upload before midnight, 24 hours later.  We had to use Gypsy font, Gypsy wandering, and a third cart of or choice.  I decided what I was going to do before I went to bed, then worded for several hours during the day to finish.  (I even took my Gypsy to church with me, I know very bad!)  I had a left over cookie sheet, and still a bazillion bottle caps so I used them in my fun magnetic calendar design.  I paper is the rockability line from stampin' up, (some I have been hoarding - sad it's gone now).  :(  I layed out the numbers on my Gypsy, (during church) and cut them when I got home.  I used Gypsy font for the numbers, as well as the "These are the" words.  The word "moments" come from Gypsy wandering.  The month titles, as well as some of the fun theme pieces came from the Designer's calendar cart, the rest from Gypsy wandering.  It was a fun challenge, and I would love to win, ......... but if I don't, at least I will know what day it is!!!
