Hi friends...(if any of you are still around).... I have had so much going on and I have meant to let you all know what I have been up to. In the past couple of months, I have started my business Sentimental Expressions, had my newly finished office flooded due to frozen and burst pipes, lost over 75% of my paper and my large 24 inch plotter, furniture, flooring, etc. We got that all taken care of and my office back together to find my pipes are frozen AGAIN!!!! Because I don't want to dwell on the bad stuff, here are a few of the great things that I have been up to. I had my first project published in The Bug Magazine, and now I can show it, so here it is, a version of an oldie but a goodie. ")

Here is a picture of the printed project. |

Here is an up close picture, still not a great quality picture, but I hope you get the idea. |

Since having this published I have submitted several more projects and will have 3 more pieces published. I will pieces in the March/April Issue of Cricut Magazine (a Baby project), the March/ April issue of The Bug Magazine (a spring piece), and a piece in the May/June issue of Cricut Magazine ( a home decor piece). I can't tell you how exciting and satisfying it is to see one of my own original creations in print.
So on to another note, I attended a crop a couple of weeks ago. There was a challenge placed before us to create a Valentine for a man or was masculine. The challenge rules stated that you had to use at least 3 different cuts, 3 different papers, have the main color be pink, use tule in your design, and use on of the products from a PC sponsor. The product I choose to use was the i-top tool which allows you to cover and make your own custom brads. Long story short, I came up with a fun idea, it turned out a little x-rated, but won the grand prize. So please don't look if you are easily offended. My intent was to make a funny valentine for a man. My 18 years of marriage has taught me that men have one thing on their mind 99% of the time. So here it is, a candy bar slider......

So again it is not a great picture, but it is all I had since one of the gals who was attending the crop asked if she could buy one to send to her husband in Iraq. I gave it to her to send to him, but snapped a couple of quick pics to save. So I know it is a bit inappropriate, but I would love to hear what you think about this crafty x-rated valentine, do you think I got my point across?
