For sometime now I have been dreaming of having my own crafting space. I've seen pictures of others space and drooled, dreamed and coveted those people who have their own private, organized piece of heaven. My space has morphed through the years. At one point, I was housed in a closet. I've been spread on the kitchen counter. I've had stuff stored in little nooks and crannies. It has been anything but organized. As a matter of fact, at times it has been easier to simply buy more stuff than to find where I had stashed my supplies. We slowly finished a room in our basement, only to have it flood days after finishing up. Then it turned into a storage room. (Just throw it in there and "someday" we'll get to it).

Ground zero. Need some glue rummage around, you might get lucky and find some. |

Getting the cabinets.....Why does my husband not feel the same sense of urgency of getting this done? Oh move out of my way, I'll do it myself. :) |
Not now! Finally, I have my own space (sort-of, I do have to share with Shane since we are calling this our home office), and for the most part I am organized-ish. Welcome to the home "office" of Graphik Xpressions, or as I like to call it, my little slice of heaven.

I have bins full of similar items and they are labeled and hidden behind beautiful cabinets. I can actually find stuff! Oh and the stuff that I found while sorting and organizing! Wow, I save EVERYTHING! (Ugly patterned paper from 10 years ago, new stamp sets that hadn't even been put together, more embellishments than one could possibly use in a lifetime, but I better hold on to just in case I ever need this and can't ever find another just like it, stickers - they might come back in style........). I can laugh at it. I know I'm a crafty hoarder, but this stuff makes me so happy, and I WILL preserve my children's childhood memories!
So here are a few more pictures of my happy place. I hope you like it. I don't want to make anyone jealous. It was a long road for me to get here, and I'm sure your day will come too!

I love this quote, "A messy desk is a sign of a Creative mind." I had to clean the desk up to take pictures. |

I can't tell you how much fun this room is to create in. I would love to know what you think?
