Washi tape Matchbook Box
featuring My Minds Eye, Graphic 45 and Petaloo products
from The Hens Den
I was so lucky to be able to help out in The Hens Den booth at the CKC scrapbook expo last week. I had so many new ideas when I left after spending 2 days surrounded by gorgeous paper and embellishments. Although washi tape is the newest, coolest trend in scrapbooking and paper crafting, I had yet to collect any. The Hens Den has quite an assortment of washi tape available, and it found myself leaving the expo with a small collection. As fate would have it, on my flight home from Portland, I was lucky to sit next to Megan Hoepner, editor from Creating Keepsakes magazine. I admitted to her that I was having a love affair with washi tape, but had yet to play with it. She was SO SWEET and pulled out her phone and shared with me some of her washi tape projects. Once again, I was so full of new ideas and ways I hadn't even thought to use washi tape. I have been holding on to this 8 x 8 matchbook box from graphic 45 for a while and I knew that I wanted to used the washi tape for this project. It was so easy!! I just started laying down the tape one after the other. I could not believe how easy it was and what a great look you got.
My Minds Eye has these 3 tapes together in one package. I added the pink petaloo flower and really, does it need more? As I said this is a 2 part project, so watch for the second half coming later in the week. I hope that this gives you some fresh ideas.
I can't wait to hear what you think.
